A good first start is SQL Server 2008 Upgrade Advisor. However, don't let the tool be a substitute for proper & thorough testing after migration - because there are lots of little issues in the way...

I've used the tool Matt mentions (or previous versions) to get from 7 to 2000, 2000 to 2005 and now 2005 to 2008. As Matt says, it doesnt pick up on everything but the deprecated bits are highlighted...
